Joomla South African Portal - Clarification about Joomlaza

Hi Mr Dugdale

Thank you for your enquiry about the functions of www.Joomla.org.za.

As you know, we are all Joomla enthusiasts, and would like to share ideas, support one another, refer excess work and well, just enjoy our community of Joomla Users here in Southern Africa.

So here is your invitation to join the Joomla Southern African Group, until we have something more official in the Joomla Forums (which we have requested). This is an open list and will only be moderated to preserve the continuity of the group. So click right in and lets Joomla!

We are not really interested in competing to be THE official Joomla Portal for SA, merely hoping to network and collaborate with others in a Joomla Enthusisats Group .

Professionally, my interest is in Joomla Training, so that is where I will be expending myself.

I trust that clarifies matters. I am a registered member of Joomlaza as far as I remember, however have not received any new updates nor contact from them.

Their Forum seems to be doing all right with 240 members, although the frequency of posts is quite low. Anyway, I have subscribed to their newsletter and hope to receive something soon.

I also plan to contact them in connection with Joomla Training in CT later this week.

I trust that helps clarify our position on Joomlaza.

Regards, Sean
